Ferry suffered propulsion trouble

On Oct 25, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. the ' Polonia', en route to Ystad, was forced to turn around to Swinoujscie short time after leaving the port and speeding up, and berthed back at the Promowy Ferry Terminal. The ship was assisted by a tug of the Fairplay company. The cause is unknown, but it was noted that only one propeller was being used, which indicated problems with the propulsion. The ship remained stationary in port as of Oct 26.

Ferry returned to Ystad for medevac

Half an hour after the 'Polonia' left the port of Ystad on Feb 5, 2023, at 10.40 p.m. UTC, a truck driver fell ill and caused the ferry to turn around. Itreturned to the dock in Ystad as he needed urgent treatment. The stevedores were called in again, and the patient could be dropped off for medical care short time later. The ship then resumed the voyage to Swinoujscie, where it arrived on Feb 6 at 6.35 a.m.

Polonia towed back to Swinoujscie

On Nov 5, 2013, the "Polonia" which had sailed from Swinoujscie bound for Ystad at 1 p.m. suffered technical trouble and had to call tug assistance. The ferry was towed back to port around 8 p.m. The departures in both directions on Nov 5 and Nov 6 were cancelled.
