Grounding off Tvedestrand

Coming from Egersund, the "Sjokurs" touched an uncharted shoal in the Tvedestrand Fjord while approaching Tvedestrand on Aug 5, 2015. Divers inspected the hull on Aug 6 and found only superficial damage.

Passenger ship cleared to sail

On July 13 the "Sjøkurs" was cleared to sail again after it ran onto a submerged rock between Brønnøysund and Træna on July 12 at 2.37 a.m. The ship had entered the port of Træna after the crew had checked the integrity of the hull, and divers surveyed the hull once the ship berthed. They only found scratches in the paint. Representatives of the Sjøfartsdirektoratet inspected the ship and declared it seaworthy so that it set sail for Henningsvær.

On July 11, 2013,the "Sjøkurs" ran onto an underwater rock between Brønnøysund and Træna. The lifeboat "Ruth Opsahl" was called after the ship got stuck at 1.37 a.m. After the ship was off again, it was decided to continue the journey towards Træna, where divers checked the hull exterior., but only found scratches.
