Technical trouble reduced ferry capacity
In the afternoon of Oct 18, 2019, the ferry service on the Halsafjord was affected from 5.10 p.m. to 7.40 p.m. by a technical problem aboard the 'Rauma'. The 73-car ferry was replaced by the 35-car ferry 'Sunnfjord', which resulted in significantly reduced capacity.
Rauma suffered technical trouble
On Dec 9, 2016, the "Rauma" suffered technical problems on the route Halsa-Kanestraum, leaving only two ferries in operation. Operator Fjord1 reported in the afternoon that a replacement vessel would arrive at 4 p.m., but the problems continued throughout the evening. On Dec 10 the operation was reduced to only one ferry while it typically takes two ferries on the fjord. At 1 p.m. the problems were resolved.
Ferry out of service due to technical trouble
The "Rauma", serving the route Halsa - Kanestraum, had to be taken out of service on Apr 17, 2012, and instead had to remain at the quay at Kanestraum for repairs. Technicians were called from Sunnmøre. The "Rauma" which may carry 87 cars was replaced by the "Tingvoll" which was immediately sent from Talgsjøen to the Halsa Fjord, but only takes 35 cars.
