Medevac off Sines

On Dec 9, 2014, short past noon an EH-101 helicopter of the Portuguese Air Force medevaced a sick crew member from the "Ridgebury Astari" about 180 kilometers west of Sines. The Ukrainian man showed symptoms of hypertension and body numbness, so the CODU-Sea, after contact with the ship, recommended a medevac. The EH-101 transported the patient to the Portela Airport in Lisbon, from where he was taken to the Hospital of Santa Maria with an ambulance win stable condition.
