Overheating issues on Lake St. Clair

The 'Saginaw' suffered issues with overheating equipment on June 24, 2022, in Lake St. Clair off Windsor, in position 42 20 01.2 N, 082 58 28.7W. Firefighting appliances were mobilized. The crew carried out the repair works, and the vessel resumed its voyage.

Allision in Goderich

The 'Saginaw', while leaving the port of Goderich, Ontario, assisted by a tug, allided with the berthed bulk carrier 'Federal EMS' on Nov 20, 2021. Minor damages to the berthed vessel were reported. The 'Saginaw' sailed from Goderich on Nov 21 at 6 a.m., bound for Drummond Islands, where she arrived at 10.20 p.m.

Allision on Maumee River

The "Saginaw" enroute from Detroit allided with the pilings of the swing railroad bridge near Middlegrounds Metropark, on the Maumee River on April 30, 2019, at 01.40 a.m. while sailing downstream to Lake Erie after delivering stones to the nearby Kuhlman dock. The accident caused damage only to a walkway atop the pilings. Train traffic was halted for about an hour while railroad staff inspected the bridge. The accident’s cause was not immediately reported. The ship resumed its voyage at 3.50 a.m.
