Grounding on the Rhine
On June 6, 2014, at 09:43 a.m. the "Saketa" running downstream on the Rhine ran aground at river km 524,300 near Rüdesheim after having got out the Kempten fairway. The ship suffered water Ingress and was pulled off by another barge and pulled to Geisenheim where the local fire Brigade dewatered the hull. Divers patched the leak in the foreship, so that the vessel could be allowed to proceed to a repair yard.
