142 migrants rescued from three boats
In the morning of June 5 the CCS of Salvamento Marítimo in Las Palmas coordinated the response to three distressed boats with 45 sub-Saharans aboard the first, 51 North Africans aboard the second and 46 North Africans aboard the third. 94 migrants rescued off Arrecife in two missions
In the morning of May 29 the MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Las Palmas was notifid of rubber boats 34 nautical miles east of Arrecife. The 'Salvamar Al Nair' was deployed to assist and rescued 54 sub-Saharan Africans, aming them 11 women and two minors, who were transferred to La Cebolla (Lanzarote), where they arrived at 5:55 a.m. LT. The container ship 'Contship Max' remained on standby at the scene until the arrival of the SAR vessel. On May 27 a troubled boat was located 45 kilometers southeast of Lanzarote en route from Tarfaya. The 'Salvamar Al Nair' rescued 40 people, among them two women and one child, and transferred them to the Cebolla pier in Arrecife. 150 migrants rescued in three SAR operations
In the nigght of May 26, 2023, the MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Las Palmas coordinated the assistance to three troubled migrant boats with 150 people on board. The patrol ship 'Guardamar Polimnia' as well as the 'Salvamar Macondo' and 'Salvamar Al Nair' and the SAR helicopter Helimer 205 and the aircraft Sasemar were tasked to provide assistance and rescued the castaways.
