Pleasure boat towed to Garrucha
The motor boat 'Las Palomas' (MMSI: 224271690) with two crew members on board suffered an engine failure on April 25 and asked for assistance about 14 nautical miles from Garrucha. The CCS Almería of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Algenib', which took the pleasure boat in tow and safely pulled it to Garrucha. Boat towed to Garrucha
The pleasure boat 'Rosendo' was disabled and adrift 20 nautical miles northeast of Garrucha on April 22 and requested assistance. The 'Salvamar Algenib' was mobilized by the CCS Almería of Salvamento Marítimo. It took the boat in tow and safely pulled it to the port of Garrucha.
15 migrants rescued after being located by container ship
On Dec 11, the 'Salvamar Algenib' has rescued 15 migrantss of Maghreb origin from a rubber boat, which had been located by the container m/v 'Barbara P' (IMO: 9144720), en route from Arrecife to Sagunto, 22 nautical miles east of Carboneras. The castaways have been transferred to the port of Almería.
