Four migrants assisted to Málaga

The crew of the 'Salvamar Hamal' rescued four migrants of North Africans origin, among them one woman, from a boat five nautical miles south of Vélez-Málaga. The alert was issued by the Guardia Civil. The RCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Tarifa coordinated the resonse. The migrants arrived at the port of Málaga at 1:00 p.m.

18 migrants rescued off Cabo Sacratif

A boat with 11 men on board was drifting 18 nautical miles south of Cabo Sacratif on April 24, 2023, and needed assistance. The CCS Tarifa of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Hamal' to the scene, which rescues them and transferred them to Malaga.

52 migrants rescued off Caleta de Vélez

In the morning of Feb 2, 2023, the 'Salvamar Hamal' assisted a boat with 52 North African migrants on board. The fishing boat 'Bahía de Cartagena' had located the boat and notified the CCS Tarifa of Salvamento Marítimo. The fishermen remained on standby until the arrival of the SAR boat 23 nautical miles south of Caleta de Vélez. The castaways were then transferred to the Port of Malaga, where they arrived at 4:38 a.m.
