Fishing vessel towed to Palma
The Spanish flagged Fishing vessel 'Hermanos Gonzalez' requested assistance after it went adrift due to mechanical problems in El Arenal with two crew members on board on April 18, 2024. The CCS Palma of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Libertas' to assist. It took the ship in tow and safely pulled it to Palma.
Boat towed to El Arenal
On Oct 14m 2023, the 'Agrait Dos' reported on VHF 16 that it had suffered a leak in the exhaust pipe off Palma Nova. While the crew could bail out the water that was coming in, it asked for assistance to get back to port. The CCS Palma of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Libertas', which took the vessel in tow and safely pulled it to the port of El Arenal.
Yacht towed to Colonia de Sant Jordi
The s/y 'Ibadan' with three people on board went adrift on June 20, 2023, north Cabrera with engine failure and lack of wind. The crew requested assistance, aand the CCS Palma of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Libertas', which towed it to Colonia de Sant Jordi.
