On Nov 16 the CCS Tenerife of Salvamento Marítimo coordinated the response to two two canoes off La Restinga. Sailing yacht towed to La Gomera

In the night of Aug 3, 2023, the sailing yacht 'Paula', with six people, among them three adults and three minors, on board, was disabled and adrift eight nautical miles from La Gomera due to an engine failure. The 'Salvamar Mizar' was tasked to assist and towed the boat safely to the port San Sebastian de la Gomera, where it has been safely docked. 237 people rescued from four boats

On April 19, 2023, the 'Salvamar Mizar' and the 'Guardamar Calliope' assisted four boats that had left from Tarfaya and Bojador. The 'Salvamar Mizar' rescued on the whole 123 people, 57 in one and 64 in the other boat, and the 'Guardamar Calliope' rescued 114 people, 54 in one and 60 in the other boat with the help of the Sasemar 101 surveillance aircraft, which had sighted the vessels.
