Grounded pleasure boat towed to Ribeira
IOn the evening of Aug 7, 2023, the 6-85-m-pleasuure boat 'Mandarina' collided with some stones in Castiñeiras and had to be towed to the port of Ribeira. After the accident, the skipper of the 'MandarinaÄ' notified Salvamento Marítimo, and the CCS Fisterra mobilized the 'Salvamar Sargadelos' which towed the boat to the premises of the Club Náutico Deportivo in Ribeira. The 'Mandarina'had been in the port of Rianxo before the incident.
Three boaters rescued off O Maño
The pleasure boat 'Pavia' with three people on board capsized off O Maño (Pobra do Caramiñal) on Feb 22, 2023. The MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Fisterra mobilized the 'Salvamar Sargadelos' and requested a mayday relay. The castaways were then rescued by another boat that was in the area.
Fishing vessel towed to Aguiño
On Jan 23, 2023, the Spanish fishing vessel 'La Chainza' got its fising gear entangled in the prooeller next to Pta. Laxe Brava, with five crew members on boardm and requested help. The CCS Fisterra of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Sargadelos' to the scene, whhich towed the ship safely to Aguiño.
