Tug hit tug

Wed Feb 15 22:08:58 CET 2012 Timsen

In the morning of Feb 15, 2012, the Hamburg-based tug "Bugsier 14" (IMO: 8007200), was in collision with a 65-m-barge pushed by the "Schubexpress 10" (EU-No.: 05602700) which was sailing downstream on the Elbe, after the "Bugsier 14" had departed from the tug pier Neumühlen . The master of the "Bugsier 14" obviously had not renoticed marked the tug with its oil barge which suffered a gash of 10 centimetres length in the hull and needed repair at a yard. The tug suffered damage at the stern. Investigations were launched against the master of the "Bugsier 14".
