Tanker drifted perpendicular to fairway
On Sep 5, 2019, at 6 a.m. the "Somtrans XX" got out of the fairway and drifted perpendcular to the river at the Pannerdense Kop on the Waal. The loaden shi, which had come from Rotterdam, was sailing upstream, and the skipper intended to sail into the Pannerdensch Canal. During that maneuver, the tanker veered off course. Around 8:45 a.m. it was back in the fairway and headed to Tolkamer where it berthed at 9.30 a.m.
