Spasatel Kavdejkin, second of three multi-purpose salvage vessels delivered

Spasatel Kavdejkin, the second of three multi-purpose salvage vessels for project MPSV07, was delivered by the Nevsky shipyard in St Petersburg on 17 July on behalf of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. The vessel is 73m in length overall and is equipped to carry out a wide range of towage, salvage, emergency response and rescue duties. A maximum speed of 15 knots and bollard pull of 70 tonnes is reported, along with an endurance of 20 days. The first tug Spasatel Karev was delivered in November 2012 and the third, Spasatel Zaborschikov, is under construction. 09 Sep 2013 - Maritime Journal
