Reefer boarded by robbers
The 'Star Spirit' was boarded by nine robbers in three small boats, at the Callao anchorage on March 13, 2020, at 08.15 a.m. Three crew members were taken hostage, were tied up and assaulted. The alarm was raised. The robbers fled the vessel after seeing the alerted crew and escaped with stolen stores. During the incident two crew members suffered injuries. The incident was report to Callao port authorities.
