Anchor trouble in Kalymnos

The Port Authority of Kalymnos was informed in the afternoon of March 7, 2022, by the Captain of the 'Stavros', which was operating a scheduled route, that during its departure from the port of Kos to the port of Astypalea, it had a malfunction at the staboard side anchor. The ship sailed to the port of Kalymnos, with 27 crew members on board. The Kalymnos Port Authority banned the ship from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the classification society that monitors it.

Engine failure in Rhodes

The 'Stavros' suffered a failure of its starboard side main engine while preparing to depart from Rhodes on July 13, 2021. The Captain informed the Rhodes Port Authority. The 40 passengers and six vehicles ib biard were disembarked and transferred to another vessel. The Port Authority of Rhodes detained the vessel in port until the engine was repaired and a class maintenance certificate was issued.

Engine trouble off Rhodes

In the morning of June 24 the 'Stavros' suffered a malfunction of the starboard main engine while proceeding from the port Megisti to Rhodes on its scheduled route to Rhodes, Symi, Halki, Nisyros and Kos with 17 passengers and five cars on board. Upon its arrival at Rhodes, the port authority detained the vessel until the engine was repaired and a class maintenance certificate was issued. The passengers were disembarked and forwarded to their destinations by another vessel.
