Tug sank between Urk and Lemmer
On May 5, 2019, at 7 p.m. the "Sepia" towing a barge suffered water ingress on the Ijssel Sea between Lemmer and Urk. The crews of the KNRM-stations Lemmer and Urk were alerted. The lifeboat "Dorus Rijkers" from Urk rescued the crew of two and their dog from the foundering vessel at the Rotterdam Hook and took them back to the station. The tug was run onto a dam and sank.
