Burning tanker abandoned
On Mar 14, 2015, at 8 a.m. the "Sun Wing" reported a fire on board to the Coast Guard Kitakyushu City around 80 miles northeast of Busan in the Japan Sea. Korean Coast Guard ships and helicopters were dispatched to the vessel, which was found engulfed in fire. The 16 crew members, among them three Koreans and 13 Indonesians, were evacuated. Three of them were delivered to a hospital with burns, the rest was safe. The vessel which was loaded with nitric acid and sulfuric acid was listing to port side, some tanks were breached, with sea water coming into reaction with acid, and finally the tanker sank.
