Oil waste caused small oil pollution
On May 4, 2012, at 10.20 p.m. the fire brigade Leer was called to the berth of the "Sunthorice" in Leer after oil waste first had spilt onto the deck and later into the harbour basin. For oil removal the company Duismann Umweltdienste was called, and the fire brigade laid out an oil boom around the ship. Around midnight the spill was removed.
