Thorsten suffered leak in grounding
The "Thorsten" got in trouble on the Bijlandsch Canal at Tolkamer in the afternoon of Dec 22, 2012. Due to a navigational error the ship ran over a beacon and onto a crib and suffered a leak. After the ship which was carrying a carog of coal was docked, firefighters pumped out the water and stibilzed the ship. They were supported by the fire fighting boat from Emmerich and the "RWS 43" of Rijkswaterstraat. The leak was temporarily sealed. A second ship also missed the harbour the same day as the beacon was swept away by the "Thorsten" and bumped against a crib.
