Celsius Shipping bought tankers of Kirk Kapital

The Danish shipping company Celsius Shipping has bought four tankers from Kirk Kapital, which means that the company no longer has any connection with shipping. Kirk sold two other tankers to the Danish shipowner company Norden in April 2018. The four tankers that will be taken over by Celsius Shipping are the "Christina Kirk", "Edith Kirk", "Gunhild Kirk" and "Marie Kirk". With the purchase of the four tankers Celcius reaches a new segment and increases its fleet from the current 34 to 38 ships.

Tanker provided support to two missing men

The "Edith Kirk" saved two men who had been missing in the Mediterranean for three days on Dec 25, 2012. The two men in a small boat were reported missing by their families. Less than an hour later after having received the information, the crew saw two men who waved a red flag from a small boat. The "Edith Kirk" immediately headed for the boat and threw a line to the men to keep the boat close to the ship. They were provided with food and water. They were very hungry after not having to eat or drink for 3 days. Half an hour later the Coast Guard arrvied to save the two seafarers. The tanker proceeded to Istanbul where it docked on Dec 27.
