Cargo ship assisted in rescue of eight migrants
On May 1, 2023, at 3.30 p.m. the 'Transund', enroute from Alexandria to Lulea, remarked a boat bound to the coast of Cádiz and notified Salvamento Marítimo. An SAR boat was deployed to assist and has rescued eight migrants of sub-Saharan origin at 4.15 p.m., who have been transferred to the port of Algeciras, where the socio-sanitary care device has been set up.
