Sold to MH Marine Co.
The "Trelleborg" was sold to the MH Marine Co., Majuro (Marshall Island), and deleted from the Swedish shipping Register on Feb 25, 2016.
Ferry victim of new sulfur directive
Stena Line decided to withdraw the "Trelleborg" from the Trelleborg-Sassnitz run due to the new sulfur directive causing increased costs as the prices will be rising when buying low-sulfur fuel. Starting in October 2014, the timetable and the departures will thus be halved. The "Sassnitz" will remain on the route. The "Trelleborg", until further notice, will stay with the Stena Line fleet but remain sidelined in Rostock. What happens to the staff was unclear at this stage and subject of trade union negotiations.
