Engine room fire off Stavern
On June 28, 2022, the 'Turøy' suffered an engine room fire off Stavern. The ship managed to reach the quay in the port at 1.30 p.m. and switched off the engine. The NSSR lifeboat 'Stormbull' came to assist the ship. Flames were seen from the exhaust at starboard side. The lifeboat crew observed the situation with fire preparedness. The police was on the spot too. The fire department was called, once the ship had berthed, and arrived at the quay short time later and ensured the fire was put out. The response was coordinated by the HRS South Norway.
