Skipper injured in allision

The Lefkada Port Authority was informed in the night of June 18, 2022, the that 'Vanilla Sky', while waiting to enter the port of Lefkada from the northern entrance of the shipping canal, allided with a bridge with its starboard side. The incident caused the slight injury of the Captain of thevessel, while the other eight people on board were in good health. The skipper was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Lefkada for the provision of first aid, from where he left after treatment. Then, the yacht was removed from the entrance of the channel and safely moored. The Lefkada Port Authority, which was conducting the preliminary investigation, prohibited the departure of the ship until the presentation of a certificate of seaworthiness by the classification society that monitors it.
