Freighter in hit and run accident

The 'Vinacomin Hà Nội' was accused to have run over the fishing vessel 'QNa 94727TS ' on July 16, 2020, based in the in Binh Minh commune, Thang Binh district, in Quang Nam four miles East of Son Tra island. The fishing boat sank, and the freighter then left, not rescuing the six fishermen who fell into the sea. The Cua Dai Boarder Guard called other fishing vessels in the area to assist. The 'QB 92378' which was operating nearby rescued the six fishermen. The 'QNa 95195' from Dr. Tran Cong Minh transported them to shore. According to witnesses, the 'Vinacomin Hà Nội' stopped for a while and then continued its journey. The Quang Nam Border Guard searched for the vessel. At 9.30 p.m. it dropped anchor off Son Duong in pos. 18° 8.71' N 106° 29.42' E.
