After, in the night of Nov 24, 2010, the damaged luxury yacht casco grounded off Vesterålen was lifted upon the barge "Eide Marine 28“ to be towed to Hamburg via Sortland by the "Eide Wrestler", the "Atlas II" which had assisted in the lengthy operation departed bound for Gdynia.

The yacht casco salvaged by the "Atlas II" on Nov 3 is too damaged to be taken onto slip at GW Nilson AS in Alsvåg. An inspection by divers showed that the hull has suffered significant damage and is only being kept afloat by the fact that there are no holes in the deck so that the air inside may not escape. Now it is being investigated whether the yacht can be towed to a larger yard f.e. in Harstad where it could be drydocked. Norwegian report with photos: http://www.vol.no/nyheter/article402978.ece
