Container ship towed to Algeciras

Thu Dec 05 21:36:33 CET 2019 Timsen

On Nov 30, 2019, the 'Wilhemine', en route from Algeciras, where she had sailed on Nov 27, to Marseille, suffered a breakdown in the engine regulator nine miles from Sant Feliuand and needed technical assistance. The tug 'Punta Mayor' (IMO: 8305066) was dispatched from Barcelona at 7.50 p.m. by Salvamento Marítimo to assist the disabled vessel and took it in tow to Palamós which was the nearest port. The convoy arrived in port on Dec 2. After repairs, the ship sailed again on Dec 5 and berthed at the Futur Moll Prat BEST Terminal in Barcelona on Dec 7 at 4.30 p.m. Photos: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ELBbM38XUAAMvNE?format=jpg&name=360x360 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ELBbM38XUAAMvNE?format=jpg&name=360x360 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ELBbM5LWwAAbJ_j?format=jpg&name=small
