Tue Dec 17 13:03:08 CET 2019 Timsen

In the afternoon of Dec 16, 2019, a man fell 25 ft deep into the refrigerated hold of the 'Wiron 6' in Plymouth. The ship rolling caused the man to fall. He was taken to hospital. The South Western Ambulance Service sent an air ambulance to the scene but was not required. The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service also assisted to help rescue the man. One appliance from Greenbank with the specialist rescue team from Camels Head attended. The aerial ladder platform from Crownhill was requested once crews were on scene.
