Bulkcarrier adrift off Graham Island
The 'Wooyang Venus', enroute from Newcastle, was disabled due to main engine issues and went adrift with 22 crew members on board off the Dixon Entrance near Graham Island, British Columbia, in position 54 21 29.1 N, 131 25 18.4 W, on Nov 13, 2020, at 11.15 p.m. The Canadian Coastguard deployed the patrol boat 'Atlantic Eagle' to assist, while the crew of the 'Wooyang Venus' carried out repairs. On Nov 16 at 8.45 a.m. the shiop berthed in Ridley Island and continued the voyage to Taean on Nov 17 with an ETA as of Dec 6.
