Armed perpetrators stole engine spares

On March 6, 2024, at 12.35 a.m. three perpetrators boarded the 'Yangtze Crown', en route from Corpus Christi to Tianjin off Pulau Cula in pos. 1° 3.33' N 02° 103.40.23' E, The pirates stole engine spare parts. The ship berthed at the Tianjin Port Fourth Stevedoring Company Terminal on March 18.

Crew member critically injured in fall on board

The US Coast Guard medevaced a mariner off the 'Yangtze Crown' onf Feb 5, 2022 near Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Coast Guard New Orleans watchstanders received a call, at approximately 4:10 p.m., that a crew member had suffered injuries while working in the cargo hold aboard the vessel.Theydirected the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter. The helicopter hoisted the mariner from the cargo hold and transferred him to University Medical Center in New Orleans, where he remained in critical condition.
