Spaarnediep still in Kiel one week after grounding in Kiel-Canal
Enroute Rostock-Ceuta, the "Spaarnediep ran into the embankment of the Kiel-Canal near Projensdorf short after having left the locks at Holtenau westbound on July 7, 2012, around 2 p.m. The ship stopped for surveys and berthed at the Voith Quay in the North Port of Kiel at 7 p.m. the same day where it remained for repairs of damage sustained in the grounding since.
