Typhoon grounded tanker
In the afternoon of Sep 15, 2016, the "Heng Yu 9" was pushed aground by the typhoon Meranti in the Quanzhou Bay, where the tanker, loaded with 6,000 tons of naphtha, was trying to find a shelter. The vessel was refloated on Sep 16 with the help of salvage tugs and tugs and taken to one of the Quanzhou oil terminals for offloading.
