Engine trouble off Rhodes
The Port Authority of Rhodes was informed in the morning hours of May 22, 2023 by the Master of the 'Zeus D', that during the departure from the port of Mandraki upon Rhodes en route to Symi, a malfunction of the port side main engine occurred. The ferry returned under its own power to the Mandraki port and safely disembarked the 70 passengers. The Central Port Authority of Rhodes prohibited the sailing of the ferry until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of seaworthiness by the attending classification society.
Engine trouble off Symi
The Port Authority of Symi was informed on June 14, 2022, at noon by the Captain of the "Zeus D" about a malfunction of the oil pump connection of the port side main engine off the port of Symi. The ship sailed unassisted into the port, where it safely disembarked the 115 passengers, who were forwarded to the port of Rhodes with the care of the ship-owning company. The Port Authority of Symi prhibited the departure of the ship until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of seaworthiness by the classification society that monitors the vessel.
Ferry suffered engine trouble
The port Authority of Rhodes was informed by the captain of the "Zeus D" about a damage of the starbord sdie main engine during its sailing from the Mandraki Port in Rhodes to Symi on June 20, 2019. The vessel returned to Rhodes with the port side main engine, accompanied by a patrol boat. The 142 passengers were disembarked safely. The Central Port Authority of Rhodes, which conducted the preliminary investigation, detained the ship until the damages were paired and a classification certificate presented by the attending classification society.
