Tug intercepted with cocaine
The "Breath" was intercepted in the Atlantic and brought to Las Palmas with 1,400 kilos of cocaine on board. The tug arrived at Las Palmas on Oct 22,2018, escorted by the Spanish Navy patrol boat "Rayo (P-42)" which had intercepted the tug 1.000 miles off the Canary Islands. The tug was sailing towards Europe and had approached South America coast in the vicinity of Guyana, Venezuela and Trinidad, sailing from Europe in early October, and headed back two days later. Most probably, cocaine was taken on board from traffickers out at sea. The 10 crew members were arrested, including seven Turks, one Georgian, one Ukrainian and one Bulgarian.
