Ro-ro trips between Turkey and Egypt begin
The first ro-ro trip between Turkey and Egypt began on Thursday (April 26, 2012) with a ceremony held at the southern port city of Mersin. The ro-ro trips began based on an agreement between the two countries. Turkey's Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan was in attendance at the ceremony. Speaking at the occasion, Caglayan said that "despite political and economic crisis in different corners of the world, Turkey was writing a success story with its political and economic stability".
