Container ship was detained for sulphur content of fuel

The "Magnus F" was released from the Port of Rotterdam on Fab 26, 2018, after being detained for five days. According to the Paris MoU on Port State Control, the container ship was one of three vessels which were detained in January at the port of Rotterdam over the sulphur content of their fuel.

On Aug 31 at 9 p.m. the MRCC Corsen was alerted by the Maritime Medical Sercice in Toulouse (CCMM) that a crew member of the "Magnus F" which was enroute Antwerp-Bilbao suffered severe pain stomach. A medevac of the man of 25 was decided and a NH 90/Caïman helicopter of the Navy took off to the cargo ship which was located 50 miles off Penmarc'h. The patient was hoisted aboard the helicopter and taken to the hospital Cavale Blanche in Brest.
