Man went overboard from ferry
On May 10, 2026, shortly after 1 p.m., the rescue service in Helsingør and the police in North Zealand were called to the ferry port in Helsingør after reports that a man either went overboard or jumped from the 'Aurora af Helsingborg'. The Danish police had little information about the incident, since the ferry crew themselves carried out the rescue operation.
Woman fell overboard from ferry
A woman fell overboard from the 'Aurora af Helsingör' in the Öresund enroute to Helsingborg from Helsingör on Jan 26, 2024, at 12:44 p.m. Both the Coastguard and maritime rescue were alerted and dipatched boats and helicopters. The crew of the Danish passenger ferry 'Pernille' spotted the woman in the water and was able to pick her up. The woman has now been taken to Helsingör where ambulances were waiting at the quay. Her condition was unclear. The temperature of the waters was 3.6 degrees.

On 9 November, HH Ferries Group officially inaugurated AURORA AF HELSINGBORG and TYCHO BRAHE as the world’s largest battery-powered ferries. The company also announced that the route would be rebranded ForSea, displacing the Scandlines brand and triangle logo.
