Shortly after the departure from Helsingør on Nov 27, 2017, at 12.45 p.m. to Helsingobrg a fire was discovered aboard the "Aurora af Helsingborg" in the smokestack. Ferry evacuated due to engine trouble
The "Aurora" was evacuated in Helsingör late on Sep 2, 2017, due to a fire alert in the engine room. All passengers, 200-300 persons, had to leave, and all vehicles had to be driven off before the ferry was towed away. Two hours later she was back in traffic. The "Aurora" was about to leave Helsingborg at 11 p.m. The sister ship "Tycho Barhe" took aboard the stranded travelers after about 40 minutes of waiting. Then the "Aurora" was towed away from the berth. Two tours were cancelled. On Sep 3 at 1 a.m. the problems were fixed and the ferry could start as usual again.
