Tanker damaged by ice floe
The "Bakar" was in colllision with a floating ice floe in the Strait of La Perouse on Apr 19, 2018, at 06.30 a.m. The vessel which was in ballast sustained damage to the hull in the area of the bulbous bow and suffered water ingress in the forepeak area. The vessel increased the trim to the stern and the water ingress in the forepeak was stemmed. It then continued its passage from Vladivostok to Nakhodka. On Apr 21 at 2.15 p.m. it berthed at the Nakhodka Shipyard. It left the port again after repairs on June 16 at 5.15 p.m. and headed to Vladivostok, arriving there at 11 p.m. Actually the ship is moored off the port in pos.43° 5.52' N 131° 50.88' E.
