Passenger injured in adverse weather
On the afternoon of April 28, 2025, the Tzelepi Port Authority was informed by the 'Blue Star Naxos' about the injury of a 63-year-old passenger as the ship was sailing from the port of Paros to the port of Piraeus. The 63-year-old, due to the ship's forward tilt due to the adverse weather conditions, hit her left shoulder on the armchair she was sitting in, resulting in her injury. The injured woman was picked up by an ambulance and transferred to the Piraeus General Hospital. A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the 1st Tzelepi Port Department of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus.
Ferry suffered ramp trouble
On the evening of July 20, 2024, the Port Authority of Amorgos was informed that during the mooring manoever at the port the 'Blue Star Naxos' was unable to open the main ramp for the vehicles. The ship was running a scheduled route from Astypalaia to Aegiali, Donoussa, Naxos, Paros and Piraeus with 403 passengers, 54 vechiles two trucks, one bus and 24 two-wheelers on board. The crew members repaired the damage and then the passengers as well as the vehicles were safely disembarked. The Amorgos Port Authority allowed the ship to continue its route after presenting a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society.
Ferry lost anchor
The 'Blue Star Naxos', with 519 passengers on board, lost its port side anchor en route from Naxos to Paros on Sep 10, 2023, at around midnight. The vessel arrived safely at Paros port, where the passengers disembarkation took place. After the class inspection, the vessel sailed with a delay to Piraeus port.
