Offshore ship approached by armed skiffs
On March 15, 2020, at 4.05 p.m. the 'Bourbon Horus', which was moored in position 06 04 19.2S, 012 18 15.6E, at the Kwanda anchorage, Angola, was approached by two skiff. The Officer of the Watch noticed the skiffs, one with four men and the other with six men on board. One weapon was sighted on one of the skiffs. The alert was raised and SSAS activated. After hearing the alarm, the two skiffs halted their approach, turned away and cleared the area. The Kwanda port authorities were informed and a patrol vessel was dispatched to the anchorage area to investigate.
