Container ship ran over nets
The "DPL Pearl" was detained in Niigata for assumedly damaging fixed fishing nets while sheltering from bad weather on Dec 17, 2014, in waters off Ryotsu Wan island, west of Niigata. The damage ws estimated to be millions of Yen. The crew said they didn’t know or realize they ran over the nets.
