Four fishermen missing after collision

The 'Cape Kallia' rescued seven of 11 crew members after the collision with the 15-m-fishing vessel 'KM Kerinci Indah 12' in the Southern Waters of Lombok Island in the West Nusa Tenggara Province, on Nov 17, 2020, at 5.40 a.m. in pos. 9 °27'54.92″S 115°49'25.11″ E. The Benoa Bali VTS was notified at 6:47 a.m. During the SAR operation, the 'Cape Kallia' suffered an engine failure in pos. 9°25'46.20″ S 115°50'18.90″ E at 08.26 a.m. The Benoa VTS officer asked the Mataram Search and Rescue Office to send assistance immediately. A rescue team and the rescue boat ÄBK 220-Mataram' were mobilized from the Gili Mas Lembar port and joined the 'KN Chundamani' in the search for the four fishermen. The survivors of the crew of the fishing vessel were undergoing health checks, most of them were in good health, although they suffered a number of injuries as a result of the collision.
