Search for overdue vessel
The 'Dolphin' was one of the assets of the US Coast Guard which was searching on April 24, 2023, for the overdue 54-foot shrimp trawler 'Capt. Ken-Wil' which was reportedly vessel disabled and without power with two people aboard near Cape San Blas, Florida. The Coast Guard began searching in the evening after Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders received a phone call from the owner of the vessel. The last known estimated location was in the vicinity of Eagle Harbor, north of Cape San Blas, Florida. Also involved in the search were: - Coast Guard Sector Mobile; - Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile; - Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater; - Coast Guard Station Panama City; - Air Force Rescue Coordination Center; - Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission; - Gulf County Sheriff’s Department.
