YM Endeavour to take over coal from detained Antonis G. Pappadakis

Sat Jun 08 08:23:43 CEST 2013 arnekiel

What do a steel company in Brazil and a marooned coal ship in Portsmouth have to do with another coal ship that mysteriously appeared off Lynnhaven Inlet in the past week? That recently arrived ship, the Hong Kong-flag YM Endeavour, apparently is here to take on the coal now sitting on the Antonis G. Pappadakis and deliver it to a Brazilian mill. The quiet appearance of the Endeavour, which has been hovering off Lynnhaven for several days, adds another level of intrigue to the controversy surrounding the Pappadakis, which is caught up in a criminal case involving alleged environmental violations. An industry source, who asked not to be named, said the Endeavour's mission is to fetch the coal that was loaded on the Maltese-flag Pappadakis in mid-April.
