Cruise ship assisted in SAR operation for yachtsmen
The "Club Med 2" assisted in the search for the crew of two of the yacht "Tyago" which sank between Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent, Martinique, on Nov 16, 2017, at 7 p.m. Also the container ship "San Christobal" took part in the search and rescue operation along with the French navy frigate "Ventose". The two men were hoisted to safety by a helicopter after they had spent some five hours in the water clinging to a cooler. They were later treated by medical staff aboard the French navy vessel.
