Passenger went over board and died
A German passenger went over board from the 'Color Magic' at the end of the Oslo Fjord while the ferry was enroute from Oslo to Kiel in the Skagerrak on March 4, 2020, at 5.29 p.m. On the spot the temparature was is around five degrees and the wind blew with five meters per second. A major SAR operation was launched. A Swedish and a Norwegian helicopter as well as the ferry 'Color Hybrid', ennroute between Strømstad and Sandefjord, as well as Norwegian fishing vessels had participated in the search. At 7.45 p.m. the ferries were released and resumed their voyages, while three Swedish lifeboars continued. At 7.54 p.m. he was located west of Strömstad, hoisted by a helicopter from Rygge and taken to a Norwegian hospital where he was pronounced dead. The relatives were informed.
Passenger collapsed on gangway
A medical emergency delayed thedeparture of the 'Color Magic' from Kiel on Feb 6, 2020. Around noon a passenger collapsed on the gangway. The crew supported him and alerted the fire brigade. The rescue helicopter "Christopher 42" was deployed from Rendsburg to the Norwegen Quay. After initial treatment the patient was taken to the University Hospital in Kiel by ambulance. Loading operations were interrupted during the assistance. The departure which was scheduled for 2 p.m. was delayed. Medevac to Skejby after brawl
On Jan 25, 2020, a person had to be medevaced from the 'Color Magic' which was enroute from Oslo to Kiel, after having been injured in a brawl. The Danish Navy took the man from Porsgrunn off with a rescue helicopter. H was transferred to Skejby for treatment in hospital.Upload News
