Engine trouble off Harwich
On July 6, at 10.45 p.m. the 'Daan', being en route from Dagenham to Rotterdam with six crew members on board, suffered an engine failure in position 51 48.933 N, 002 24.617 E, 43 miles east of Harwich, on the edge of the Hinder Tss. The vessel restarted its engine and continued on its voyage and arrived at the Park Quay in Rotterdam at 8.50 a.m.
Daan sailing again

Crew member died in accident
During the call at Sczcecin the "Daan" lost a crew member in an accident. The hatch wagon with a hatch attached started sliding towards the accomodation block in a storm on Dec 3 and hit the man who was standing on the deck. He suffered fatal injuries.Upload News
