Technical failure in Canakkale Strait
The 'Daan', while en route from Diliskelesi to Antwerp, suffered a technical failure during the transit of the Canakkale Strait and dropped anchor at Karanlik roadstead on Dec 16, 2020, at 7 a.m. The crew started repais, and upon its completion the ship resumed its voyage with an ETA as of Dec 31.
Engine trouble off Harwich
On July 6, at 10.45 p.m. the 'Daan', being en route from Dagenham to Rotterdam with six crew members on board, suffered an engine failure in position 51 48.933 N, 002 24.617 E, 43 miles east of Harwich, on the edge of the Hinder Tss. The vessel restarted its engine and continued on its voyage and arrived at the Park Quay in Rotterdam at 8.50 a.m.
Daan sailing again
